Zoe Bell
Thursday, February 28th, 2008I was introduced to Zoe Bell through Tarantino’s Death Proof, as I did not watch Xena. I happen to love Deathproof, I like movies where women get to kick a little ass, and no I don’t believe that emasculates them, but that’s your (whoever *you* are) opinion. I was instantly enthralled when DP started as I saw “and Zoe Bell as herself”. Now don’t get me wrong I have, as anyone who even remotely knows me, an affinity for really bad movies. Rather I tend to like horror movies, and am happily converting my wife to the darkside, well at least with a few, but I digress. I thought DP was a good movie for what it was, and I was struck by the charisma of this perky kiwi stuntwoman.
I just recently finished watching the documentary she made with Jeannie Epper called Double Dare, and from the scenes at the convention, Zoe is either a really awesome person or good at faking it for the camera. She is very laid back and easy going, it probably comes from being behind the scenes for most of her career and I hope that she retains the down to earth love for her fans. I am generally not one for praising people, as you can probably tell from my lack of writing skills, but this is all still new to me ;).
