Ok,

obviously by the aforementioned tag this is obviously going to be a rant.  I am all for holiday cheer, despite those who think otherwise, but I think outfitting your entire house, yard, and everything else within reach with lights, then feeling the need to keep them lit for an entire month and a half is just plain wasteful.  We as humans need to be more aware of energy conservation.

I am also working on a couple of other sites for the fun of it, http://codetwit.com for tips and tricks associated with the sysadmin / network / storage admin profession as well as general geekery. I am also working on http://sixbelmont.com which is still a work in progress (so you’ll likely see it change from it’s current incarnation). On another note I got my bday gift which is the awesome (thanks baby)! I got an Acer Aspire One netbook in sapphire blue. This thing is the awesome, and hopefully will help me to blog more efficiently and more frequently. I’ll post again in a couple of days.

I have been emphatically anti-disney, for what ever reasons, I don’t really remember anymore, call it old age, or just not caring that much anymore, but my wife and I had a wonderful time. We got to go with DVC members so we didn’t have to pay for our hotel, we got to sleep on an uncomfortable pull out couch, but it was free so neither of us can complain. It was also really nice to be with people who knew the lay of the land, and were awesome hosts. Funnily enough the weather in Orlando was awesome, each day got better, little less humid and a little more breeze and no rain.

I got to do the drink around the world @ Epcot, which was fun though funny cause I usually don’t drink and the first time in a long time that I purposely went to get drunk, was at Disney World. I don’t do roller coasters, so I sat out those, but our friends love them so my wife had someone to go with, which was awesome. I can’t say enough about our friends as they were so generous to invite us and to let us stay with them for a week of their week and a half vacation. It was one of the best vacations I have ever been on (more realistically the my first real vacation), and thank you Mac and Rachel for making our vacation such a wonderful experience, love you guys!

]]> My wife and I just got back (well Saturday the 20th) from a week long trip to Disney World. I have been putting pressure on myself to write something meaningful and witty about comic con, but to be honest I had a lot of fun, mainly with the people that I went with. There were two people that I did get to meet that was awesome, one of my favorite actors Thomas Jane
Thomas Jane which was way cool, he was really nice, I basically patted him on the shoulder looked him straight in the eye and said “Thank you”. He responded in kind by shaking my hand, I believe he understood what I meant. I thought he was an awesome Frank Castle (was my favorite comic growing up) and was absolutely phenomenal in The Mist As a side note, I think that autographs are a stupid idea in general (there are always exceptions my dears), but I wasn’t about to get someones signature. I also got to meet the director of one of my favorite horror movies, feast John Gulager
John Gulager. I got to actually speak to him for a few moments which was cool and I am so looking forward to the next two movies in the series, he said that two goes the funny route, but 3 comes back to the roots and is scary, I can say if they’re anything like the original I am soooo stoked. Well that’s about it for now, not too much to report other than that. Toodles!
